At 1:56 on March, 30^th , the 30^th and the 31^st Beidou Navigation satellites were launched successfully by the Long March 3B launch vehicle, in the method of “two satellites with one racket”, in Xi Chang Satellite Lauching Center in China. Belonging to the medium orbit earth satellites, the two are the seventh and the eighth satellites for the satellite network of Beidou-3.

After the flight of more than three hours, the orbit control and the phrase capture, the satellites entered the work orbit and began to work in the network with six Beidou-3 satellites launched before.

It is reported that the satellites launched this time were manufactured by the Innovation Academy for Microsatellites of Chinese Academy of Science and CETC. Besides, CETC also had the task of manufacturing the power subsystem of satellites.

Six members of CETC participated in this project, respectively being responsible for research and manufacture, production, service, promotion and transformation. During the launching process, CETC’s terrestrial control and communication system provided strong technological safeguard for the satellites’ launching.

The Beidou navigation satellite system will work for the countries along the route of “One Belt and One Road” in 2018. And in 2020, an earth-covering navigation satellite system will be built, which is hoped to be the next national visiting card of “Going out” strategy after the high-speed train.
